The prayer of the Basilian Lay Associates

In union with the whole Basilian family we pray,

Father, you are the author of all life and the source of all love. You call all people by name and you have carved us in the palm of your hand. May you give us the courage and strength to take the risk of answering your call in our daily lives.

Jesus, you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life; by following you and by dying to self, may we be able to share more fully the many gifts you have given us. May we be ever more sensitive to those around us and be able to share the burdens you have asked each of us to carry.

Holy Spirit, always at work in the Church, you have inspired us to join together in the Basilian family. Come fill our minds and hearts so that together we may discover how we may become effective signs and true prophets in the world, the Church, and our respective communities.

Amen.
