Help Saint Basil Coffee Reach $500,000 in Contributions

November 15, 2016

Saint Basil Coffee is excited to reach a major milestone in its mission to help those most in need to rise out of poverty. Since its founding in 2007, it has made contributions totaling $492,000 and is looking to reach one-half million dollars ($500,000) in the near future. The organization was founded by Mary and Jim Boyles, parishioners at St Anne Catholic Church in Houston, Texas, at the request of Father Vince Thompson, CSB, who wanted to find a way to provide much needed financial support to the Basilian missions, particularly those in Colombia. This coincided with Pope John Paul II’s ‘Call to Social Justice’– that is “to help those most in need”. Saint Basil Coffee has been and is completely volunteer run with 100 per cent of proceeds from the sale of Saint Basil coffee going towards Basilian (primarily) and other select Catholic missions.

Saint Basil coffee is “Fair Trade” coffee. The coffee beans used to make Saint Basil coffee are purchased from small, independent coffee growers – giving them the opportunity to stay in business and to provide for their family. Saint Basil coffee is made from top quality organic Arabica coffee beans grown in the mountains of Colombia and is great tasting with a robust aroma and flavour. The coffee is roasted and packaged only after an order is in hand, making it one of the freshest coffees available.

Help Saint Basil Coffee achieve the milestone of one-half million dollars in contributions to the missions and to continue to help those most in need by placing your order at saintbasilcoffee.com. The cost is $14 USD per 16 oz. bag + shipping and can be shipped to Canada and the United States.
