Antonio Ibáñez Santos and Juan José Ortiz Torres Profess First Vows in Mexico
The Basilian community welcomed two new Basilian scholastics on Thursday, July 5. Antonio Ibáñez Santos, CSB and Juan José Ortiz Torres, CSB professed their first vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in the old church of San Lorenzo, Deacon and Martyr Parish in Tehuacán, Puebla, Mexico. Father John Huber, CSB, third councillor of the General Council, received the vows and Father Roberto Peña Rojas, CSB delivered the homily. Also present were Basilians who minister in Mexico, families of the professed, and members of the parish.
When they return to Mexico City, Juan José will be in his second year of philosophy at the Pontifical University of Mexico (UPM) and Antonio will enter his second year of theology at the Intercontinental University (UIC).
